Wasps v Exeter

Where to watch

BT Sport 2, 2pm Saturday

Best bet

Wasps +2
2pts 10-11 general

Match preview

Champions Exeter strolled through the first three rounds of the Premiership but were made to work by Gloucester last time out and could face another test at Wasps.

The Chiefs ran out bonus-point winners with a 28-20 success over Gloucester but they had been 21-point handicap favourites and will be without a host of internationals for the trip to Wasps.

Full-back Stuart Hogg is injured while Luke Cowan-Dickie, Harry Williams, Jonny Gray, Jonny Hill, Sam Skinner and Henry Slade are among those rested after the Autumn Nations Cup.

Exeter boast tremendous depth to their squad, but Wasps looked more like their old selves in last week's win at Sale, and have a strong team out, boosted by the return of captain Joe Launchbury.

A severely depleted Chiefs side lost 46-5 at the Ricoh Arena in a dead rubber in the final round of last season, and Wasps, buoyed by last week's win, should be up for the fight.

Gloucester v Sale

Where to watch

BT Sport, 4.30pm Saturday

Best bet

Sale
1pt 21-20 general

Match preview

Bookmakers are struggling to split this pair, who have made inconsistent starts to the campaign, but visitors Sale look worth siding with at a shade of odds-against.

The Sharks were shaken by the departure of head coach Steve Diamond last month but replacement Paul Deacon is able to reinforce a strong line-up with the returning Jono Ross, Josh Beaumont and Byron McGuigan.

Gloucester performed better than expected in defeat to all-conquering Exeter last week but still shipped four tries and no team has conceded more than their tally of 16 this season.

That leaky defence faces a test against scrum-half playmaker Faf du Plessis and a sharp Sale backline and the Sharks have the bite to claim a win on the road.

Pro14

Where to watch

Premier Sports, from 3pm Saturday

Match preview

It's another derby day in the Pro 14, starting at Murrayfield, where Glasgow have a depleted side out to face Edinburgh (3pm).

The scheduled game in Glasgow last month was postponed and the Warriors are still missing key players through injury and positive Covid tests. Hosts Edinburgh are seven-point favourites.

The much-anticipated Munster v Leinster clash was also called off after Christmas so there are still three Irish provinces with 100 per cent records, although something will have to give when Ulster face Munster (5.15pm).

Both teams have rotated their squads heavily - hosts Ulster are seven-point favourites.

Connacht have confirmed a number of Covid cases in their squad as they prepare to face Leinster, who have also had players return negative tests. Leinster give up 19 points at home (7.35pm).
