Harlequins knew it was never going to be easy retaining the Premiership crown they won in such breathtaking fashion last season as they head to a Leicester side intent on succeeding them as champions.

Quins’ explosive ball-in-hand style of play isn’t producing the results it was last term - the champions have lost three of their last five league games to leave them nine points adrift of leaders Leicester.

The Tigers are bidding for a 12th successive Premiership win having set a blistering early pace and a sold out Welford Road will be looking for them to put down a marker.

Leicester welcome back a host of internationals after nearly a month without a league game. Freddie Steward, George Ford and Ellis Genge are all recalled to a side who have scored 95 points in their previous two Premiership outings.

Quins can also call on their England contingent once more with Marcus Smith and Alex Dombrandt included, alongside joint-top tryscorer Louis Lynagh, who has returned to fitness.

Harlequins have selected an attacking side and Leicester will need to be on their guard against a side who have scored over four tries per game on average this season.

However, the Tigers have shown they aren’t short of firepower themselves, scoring 30 or more points in five of their last eight, and Welford Road's scoreboard could tick over on Sunday.
