Home advantage gives Glasgow strong chance of revenge over Scarlets

Glasgow were dumped out of the Pro14 playoffs at home by Scarlets last season but the Scottish outfit are well priced to gain their revenge.

Both sides are going well in the league but if there's a negative to the Scarlets' performances it's their away form. They have won just one of four on the road and that was at hapless Kings, where they failed to cover a single-figure handicap.

Glasgow lost to the Kings in South Africa in the biggest shock result of the season and were edged by one point by Munster in Ireland, but on home soil they have won 14 of their last 15, the only setback being that semi-final loss to Scarlets.

In the Glasgow backline, Nick Grigg has made a timely return from injury during the autumn internationals while Niko Matawalu has scored five tries in his last two games, and the stage is set for the hosts to turn on the style.

Bookmakers are finding it hard to split the pair but home advantage gives Glasgow the look of solid favourites off scratch.

It's similarly tight when Cheetahs host Connacht in Bloemfontein - the Irish side have covered the handicap in their last two victories over Dragons and Kings but this is far tougher.

Ulster give up nine points at home to Cardiff while Dragons get a ten-point start at home to Leinster, who have a much-changed line-up but are still without most of their Ireland stars, probably with one eye on next week's trip to Bath.
