Match preview

Harlequins gained their biggest win of the season at Sale in October when they kicked off as ten-point underdogs but ran out 29-13 winners against a strong Sharks side.

The betting has these Premiership frontrunners virtually neck and neck for Sunday's Stoop return, but visitors Sale look well placed to inflict a third successive league defeat on Quins.

Since that October loss, Sale have dropped both of their away matches - at leaders Saracens and at Newcastle - but they looked hugely impressive in blowing away Leicester 40-5 at home last week.

And this could be a good time to take on Harlequins who are still without creative talent Marcus Smith. The fly-half scored 24 of the 29 points against Sale in the reverse fixture as well as setting up the only other score with a clever grubber kick.

Sale have plenty of punch up front with a physical pack and if they can replicate their home form on the road this is a great opportunity to claim a key victory.
