Match preview

Racing 92 were among those towards the top of the betting at the start of the European Champions Cup but they may already be feeling a little pressure.

Their French rivals Lyon and Touluse top the Pool B standings after being awarded bonus-point wins in their cancelled fixtures but Racing have to make up that ground on the pitch.

They opened with a bonus-point win at home over Connacht but after dominating the first hour of that match they allowed their opponents to battle back from 26-8 down to 26-22 and they can't afford any complacency to creep in when they visit Harlequins.

Racing are among the better travellers of the Top 14 sides – in last year's pool stage they beat Ospreys, drew with Munster at Thomond and went down by three points to Saracens – and the Paris outfit are six-point favourites.

Quins know they are likely to face an onslaught from the star-studded Racing backline early on and the French side had their first try on the board last week after five minutes.

Harlequins can play with ambition but also know how to dig deep, as they did in a 21-7 defeat at Munster last week.

French flair should win the day but a victory by no more than 12 points looks the best bet.

Bristol coach Pat Lam comes up against his former club as his side travel to Connacht in the day's other game. Both sides were beaten in round one and visitors Bristol are two-point favourites.
