Ulster won only 16-12 when Cardiff last visited Belfast in the Pro14 but they can deny the Blues a losing bonus point at the Kingspan Stadium on this occasion.

Cardiff looked in trouble in their campaign-opener in Port Elizabeth against the Southern Kings before prevailing 31-27 and they have lost at home to Edinburgh and away to Glasgow since.

Ulster began their season with a 38-14 Kingspan Stadium stroll against Ospreys and the week's break should mean no jet-lag worries after they slammed the Kings 42-17, while all visitors have been beaten heavily by the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein this term so their 63-26 reverse there is not off-putting.

Munster lost 40-16 in the Free State a fortnight ago but should bounce back with a cosy win over Ospreys in Cork. They enjoyed easy wins in their first two outings and the Ospreys lost 53-5 at Leinster in their second away game.

However, a rainy forecast means that the best-value bet looks to be Red Army hooker Rhys Marshall to score a try. Marshall loves to get involved in close-range forward work and has scored eight times in his last 30 league outings.
