Free rugby tips, best bets and analysis for Sunday's European Champions Cup games.

Sale v Exeter

Where to watch

BT Sport 2, 3.15pm

Best bet

Exeter to win by one to 12 points
2pts 2-1 general

Match preview

Exeter have put themselves in a good place with two impressive wins out of two in Europe and hit top gear in the Premiership last week with a 38-3 home win over Wasps.

This is a tougher test against a Sale side marshalled by Rugby World Cup-winning scrum-half Faf de Klerk.

But the Chiefs can rely on their set-piece strength to put them on the front foot, and while Sale have the flair to conjure up a score or two, Exeter should edge it.

Gloucester v Connacht

Where to watch

BT Sport, 1pm

Best bet

J Simpson to score a try
1pt 2-1 Betfair, Paddy Power

Match preview

Qualifying for the quarter-final already looks a forlorn hope for these sides and that could set up a reasonably open contest.

Winless Gloucester will surely feel the need to do more than dig in and get over the line, while Connacht, who at least have a victory on the board, have nothing to lose.

The Cherry & Whites have looked sharp and lively, and speedy scrum-half Joe Simpson has been in top try-scoring form. He bagged a double against Toulouse in round one and is worth backing to go in again.

  • The pool five match between Toulouse can be seen on BT Sport Extra at 3.15pm. Les Toulousains are 11-point favourites.
