Match preview

After three straight wins at the start of the season Bristol and Exeter both suffered defeats in round four last week, but the Chiefs look better placed to bounce back.

Bristol have won both of their home matches in this campaign but they were narrow successes against teams who finished in the bottom half of the table last term, and this looks a step up against a strong Exeter side.

The Chiefs have already beaten Leicester and Harlequins - champions in the last two seasons - and their uncompromising forward play has looked back to its best after some inconsistent performances last season.

Bristol have scored 11 of their 15 tries this season at home and are a dangerous outfit, but Exeter look good value to edge a victory.
