How Wasps' players react to the news the club is set to go into administration will likely decide the outcome of Friday's meeting between two of the Premiership’s winless sides.

On Wednesday Wasps' owners announced their intention to appoint administrators, potentially leading to automatic relegation from English’s rugby top flight, which will clearly have been a huge blow to the club's staff.

But with wages and jobs guaranteed in the short term, the hope is that a Wasps squad boosted by the return to fitness of Jacob Umaga and Gabriel Oghre can focus on matters on the pitch.

The Coventry-based club can put last weekend's error-strewn defeat to Bristol down to a bad day at the office and there’s enough about Lee Blackett’s team to think they can trouble a Bath side they have beaten six times in a row.

The hosts are a work in progress under new coach Johann van Graan and showed they have a long way to go when well-beaten 37-20 by Sale last weekend, despite the Sharks playing 70 minutes with 14 men.

Losing has become a bad habit for Bath and they can’t be trusted at odds-on to take advantage of Wasps’ troubles.
