Unsworth's Everton ready to show their quality

What's your best bet of the weekend?
Everton have to be a bit of value at 3-1 at Leicester. Getting away from a restless Goodison Park might be in their interest and if Ronald Koeman really was a problem maybe the Toffees will come to life under David Unsworth.

After what was spent in the summer we all know that Everton have a lot of good players – maybe now’s the time they start proving it.

Who are the most vulnerable favourites?
Chelsea are worth taking on at Bournemouth. They’ve not looked particularly good in recent matches against Crystal Palace, Roma and Watford and are already well off the pace set by the Manchester clubs and Spurs.

Antonio Conte’s days look numbered and these are troubling times for a Chelsea side who won’t find Bournemouth a soft touch.

Where is the value at Old Trafford?
Harry Kane’s absence changes a lot about this game although I’m still not tempted by a short price about Manchester United. I’ve been unimpressed with Jose Mourinho – he’s setting up his side not to get beaten rather than going out to beat teams. Against the big sides he’s happy to avoid defeat so the draw is the bet and, with no Kane, a bit of no goalscorer too.

Is Claude Puel a good fit for Leicester?
He wouldn’t have been my pick. It’s not that I don’t rate him – let’s face it, we hardly know him. He’s had one season in the Premier League with Southampton, a fairly modest campaign in terms of points and goals, although he did reach a cup final. Saints fans didn’t seem to warm to him and I’m not sure whether Leicester’s supporters will either.

Should Everton have given Ronald Koeman more time?
No. When you mastermind a summer spend like Koeman’s, you expect a swift return and if it doesn’t happen, there’s only one outcome.

Everton could have pulled the plug even sooner as there was no sign of progress despite the spending spree. It wasn’t just the defeats, it was the manner of them, and that 5-2 hiding by Arsenal was inevitably the final straw.

What’s your best bet for matchday four of the Champions League?
Real Madrid to win at Tottenham, especially with Kane a major doubt. Real will love Wembley – and they’ll also love the fact that Spurs gave them a game at the Bernabeu. They’ll feel the need to prove a point and when they want to do that they are almost unstoppable. Just look at what happened to Dortmund when they played Zidane’s men.
