Serie A

Chievo v Sampdoria5pm Saturday
There is a curtailed domestic coupon this weekend but there could still be Easter treats to be had in Italy's Serie A.

Seventh spot should be good enough for Europa League qualification and Sampdoria remain in that hunt despite three defeats in four games, the last two coming by an aggregate margin of 9-1.

Samp have put in two horrendous performances against Crotone and Inter, while only Juventus are overperforming to a greater extent on expected goals, so bookmakers are out to get the visitors.

However, lowly Chievo are a poor side and debatable favourites following a run of one win in 15 matches. They have lost seven of their last eight, including reverses against bottom two Benevento and Verona.

The derby defeat to Verona really hurt the Flying Donkeys, who have scored 25 fewer goals than Sampdoria.

Samp may not be as good as their league position suggests but with Lucas Torreira and Dennis Praet in midfield and Duvan Zapata the most dangerous forward on show, this looks to be a good opportunity for them to get back to positive ways.

A bet on Sampdoria receiving a small start on the Asian handicap will return a small profit as long as Chievo don't triumph.

Recommendation
Sampdoria +0.25 Asian handicap

Bologna v Roma11.30am Saturday
Sticking with Italy and in the early game Roma should justify their odds-on favouritism at Bologna.

Roma have a Champions League quarter-final with Barcelona to prepare for, but that game is not until Wednesday and Eusebio Di Francesco needs to make sure his side are back in Europe's premier club competition next season.

The Wolves are only five points clear of fifth-placed Lazio, so need to concentrate on domestic matters as they look to make it five straight wins on the back of three successive clean sheets.

Roma have also won 4-2 at Napoli during their hot spell, while last week's 2-0 success at Crotone was even easier than the score suggests with Di Francesco's men firing down eight shots on target.

Goalkeeper Alisson is one of the world's best in his position and there are plenty of midfield options behind striker Edin Dzeko.

Bologna tend to struggle when upped in class - they lost 3-0 at home to Napoli and Juve and have suffered seven defeats in their last 11 games.

The wins were all at home but awful Benevento barely count, Sassuolo had a player sent off at 1-1 and Genoa were hard done by.

Recommendation
Roma
