Port Vale v Rochdale
Port Vale were the big movers in League Two last weekend, rising from 17th to tenth after an impressive 2-0 success at leaders Forest Green, and they can continue their ascent by defeating Rochdale in the Potteries.
Darrell Clarke's Valiants got off to a slow start in their opening four games – scoring one goal and registering three points – although their only reverse was a 1-0 loss at Northampton where they had goalkeeper Lucas Covolan sent off in the 55th minute.
Vale initially lacked a clinical touch in front of goal but centre-forward Jamie Proctor is now up and running after scoring both goals against Forest Green and influential midfielder Tom Conlon will be ready to lend a hand after returning from injury with a goal in Tuesday's 3-2 loss at Bolton in the EFL Trophy.
Conlon contributed ten league goals last term and his extra quality will make a tricky task even tougher for 17th-placed Rochdale, who are struggling to adjust since last season's relegation from League One.
Dale boss Robbie Stockdale has some talent in his youthful squad but performances have been inconsistent and any mistakes could be punished by Vale, who have built a team to contend for promotion.
Cheltenham v MK Dons
There are just three League One fixtures this weekend and the raft of postponements could allow MK Dons to move into the top six with a win over Cheltenham.
The Dons have won their last two matches and are the division's highest scorers with ten goals in five games.
Their offensive options are reduced with Troy Parrott on international duty with Ireland while Mo Eisa is struggling to shake off an injury, but they still carry a threat thanks to talented midfielders Scott Twine and Matt O'Riley, who are on two goals each.
Cheltenham will be tested and the heart of their defence has been weakened with Charlie Raglan injured and former captain Ben Tozer sealing a shock transfer to National League big-spenders Wrexham.
Inexperienced defender Mattie Pollock has been loaned from Watford but he needs time to settle and MK Dons can take advantage of any teething problems.
Colchester v Sutton Utd
League Two basement boys Sutton are finding life tough in the EFL and the winless start could be extended by a loss to Colchester in Essex.
A better season is in store for mid-table Colchester, who have bought well this summer and are unbeaten in their last three fixtures.

Tyler Burey Tranmere v Hartlepool
at 10-1 bet365
The Millwall loanee has started superbly in Hartlepool colours, scoring three goals in four League Two appearances, and it might not take long for his quality to hurt Tranmere at Prenton Park.
