Chelsea primed to take advantage of Tottenham players' toils
Watford may make life difficult for Reds once again
What’s your best bet of the weekend?
Chelsea to beat Tottenham. Maurizio Sarri’s side look a solid outfit and I get the feeling things are going to start catching up with Spurs. The demands of an international break after five games in 13 days are going to take their toll and their London rivals should be able to take advantage.
Who look the most vulnerable favourites?
Liverpool are too short at Watford. Something’s not quite firing for the Reds at the moment and I think the three stars up front have not got going yet. The Hornets look to be a lot stronger this season and the Reds have had tough games at Vicarage Road in each of the last three seasons.
Who will finish as London’s top club this season?
I’ve no doubt it will be Chelsea, particularly if they can keep Eden Hazard fit. I cannot see Tottenham challenging as their squad is not strong enough and while Arsenal have shown more consistency under Unai Emery, I just don’t think they are good enough yet.
Is Claudio Ranieri a good managerial appointment by Fulham?
No. He lived the fairy tale at Leicester but he had a capable team and I don’t think that’s the case at Fulham. I think he is the sort of manager who needs morale to be high in the camp if he is to be at his most effective. Dragging people up off the floor may not be his style and they could still struggle.
Where’s the outright value in the Nations League?
I wouldn’t bet against England and they should have no fear about playing any of the other three teams in the competition. They have come on in leaps and bounds and have a great culture in the squad which is really important. It could be a very prosperous time for the England team.

Porto played Schalke off the pitch in their previous Champions League match and I would expect them to claim three points on Wednesday. Schalke were solidly defensively last year but all that has gone out of the window and they are struggling. I think they’ve been found out and I fancy the Portuguese outfit to win comfortably.
