Leipzig v Bayern Munich

Manager Julian Nagelsmann, defender Dayot Upamecano and midfielder Marcel Sabitzer all swapped life at Leipzig for a move to Bayern Munich this summer and they could take the spoils when they return to face their former club.

Leipzig, who are now under the guidance of Jesse Marsch, are struggling to adjust to life without a handful of key players.

As well as Upamecano and Sabitzer the club also lost Ibrahima Konate earlier this summer and although they should still be a danger when they get going, they have made a stuttering start with two defeats from three games.

Bayern, meanwhile, have not taken long to warm up, having followed their stalemate with Borussia Monchengladbach with four successive wins in all competitions.

They have netted at least three times in each of those contests, putting 12 past minnows Bremer in the cup and five past Hertha Berlin in the league last time out. They look a great bet at odds-against.

Monaco v Marseille

Another away side worth supporting this weekend are Marseille, who have taken seven points from their first three fixtures following a summer makeover.

New midfield additions Gerson and Matteo Guendouzi have slotted into the team well with goals in the win over St-Etienne before the international break, suggesting the recent suspension of the game with Nice has not impacted the players too much.

Key forward Arkadiusz Milik is yet to return but Monaco are also missing important players with Kevin Volland and Aleksandr Golovin recently sidelined.

And although the principality club got off the mark against Troyes last time out, they have not made a great start to the season.

After drawing with Nantes, they lost to Lorient and Lens and were also dumped out of Champions League qualifying by Shakhtar Donetsk.

Their confidence could be low and they are worth taking on at home to Marseille.

Espanyol v Atletico Madrid

Following Lionel Messi's departure from Barcelona and Real Madrid's failure to secure a deal for Kylian Mbappe on deadline day, Atletico Madrid should be quietly optimistic about winning back-to-back La Liga titles for the first time since 1951.

And with two wins and a draw, they have made a solid start to their title pursuit.

Having taken a 40 per cent pay cut to rejoin his old club on loan, forward Antoine Griezmann could make his second debut this weekend, enhancing Atleti's chances of a win over Espanyol.

The newly promoted hosts have two points from their first three games but could be out of their depth in this one and are hindered by the absence of suspended defender Sergi Gomez. Opt for the away win in this clash.
