Wildcard-chasing Seahawks could smack the Pack

Green Bay nursing injuries for tricky trip to Seattle

Few would have expected Green Bay to be visiting Seattle in Week 11 with neither side having a winning record but that makes it a crucial clash for both teams - and the Seahawks can have the upper hand.

Seattle, with a 4-5 record, are already chasing a wildcard at best as NFC North leaders LA Rams are five wins ahead and on the brink of clinching the divisional title already.

Things aren't quite so bleak for Green Bay who are still within reach of 6-3 NFC North leaders Chicago with their 4-4-1 record.

The overall win-loss-tie tally doesn't tell the full story, though, as the Packers are unbeaten at home and scored their fourth Lambeau Field success against Miami on Sunday.

But they have lost all four of their road games. They have not been easy fixtures (Washington, Detroit, LA Rams, New England) but a trip to Seattle is pretty daunting too.

The Seahawks' record is somewhat lopsided as they have played six road games already (splitting them 3-3) and only three at home, including losses to both LA outfits.

They haven't beaten much this season with 4-5 Dallas their best scalp, but there have been signs of progress and there was plenty to like about Seattle's spirited performance in their 36-31 defeat to the Rams.

Circumstances are in the home side's favour with the Packers having to make a long cross-country trip on a short week of practice. Four injured players - safety Kentrell Brice, linebacker Nick Perry, cornerback Kevin King, and wide receiver Randall Cobb - have reportedly not even made the trip and they have other fitness concerns too.
