Thursday Night Football features an intriguing battle between Super Bowl champions Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Eagles earned a big win on the road at Carolina at the weekend, and they can keep things close in front of their home crowd at Lincoln Financial Field.

Jalen Hurts has been building a solid rapport with DeVonta Smith through the air and they can cause the Bucs secondary some problems given how depleted that unit is. Tampa Bay have allowed the third-most passing touchdowns this season and the most passing yards, and we’ve already seen how the Philly offense can hurt teams when they put 30 points on the Chiefs a couple of weeks ago.

It’s always going to be a bold pick when you’re going against a team who won 45-17 the previous week, but the Bucs haven’t looked as comfortable as their 4-1 record suggests.

They were crushed by the Rams in Los Angeles and relied on late field-goal drama to get past the Cowboys and Patriots. That raucous New England crowd clearly had an effect on Tampa, and the Eagles fans should be just as loud under the lights.

Aside from that Dolphins win last week, the Bucs have struggled to put teams away and Tom Brady could be frustrated by a Philly defence who have allowed the fourth-fewest passing yards per attempt this season, an average of 6.6.

It’s worth noting that the Bucs are 1-7 against the spread in their last eight Thursday night games, and the Eagles could continue that horrendous midweek run. Back Philly to keep this one within a touchdown.
