Match preview

San Francisco are the only NFL team to have gone through the first half of their season's assignments unbeaten, but their 8-0 record faces a huge test against NFC West rivals Seattle in Monday Night Football.

The best action of Week Ten has been saved until last with the 7-2 Seahawks having displayed their own Super Bowl credentials, inspired by the brilliant play of quarterback Russell Wilson.

If they can gain a victory at Levi's Stadium, the divisional race will take on a new dimension and we can anticipate a positive performance from the visitors.

Wilson has an arsenal of receivers with Tyler Lockett and rookie DK Metcalf having impressed and a wideout recruit in Josh Gordon, who should be keen to prove his worth after leaving New England.

The total has gone over the points line in 13 of their last 18 games and it would be no great surprise if the Seahawks, who are 6.5-point underdogs, were again progressive.

However, their secondary which was such a strong backbone when they won the Super Bowl in February 2015, has struggled, conceding 278 yards per game.

The Niners are set to be weakened by a lack of participation from tight end George Kittle, who has had more than double the number of receptions than any San Francisco player, but is doubtful with knee and ankle injuries.

Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo will have to deal with that but that could mean another big role for new receiving recruit Emmanuel Sanders.

The former Denver Bronco has scored a touchdown in both of his appearances since his move from Colorado and after an excellent 112 yards in last week's win over Arizona, he is attractively priced to go over again.
