Match preview

To the surprise of many people, the Seattle Seahawks enter this Week Seven matchup with a 3-3 record and have every chance of at least staying close with the 4-2 Chargers.

Seattle were expected to struggle this year but Pete Carroll’s side has been proving people wrong, and a lot of that is down to quarterback Geno Smith.

The signal-caller has been working well with the tools he has and should have another strong performance with Los Angeles’ star defensive end Joey Bosa out injured. The Chargers have been solid this year, but have been battling through a whole host of injuries and haven’t looked as flawless as most expected them to be.

Justin Herbert’s rib injury has taken its toll at times and the young quarterback endured another frustrating day last Monday, albeit in a 19-16 win over the Broncos.

Overall, the Chargers should have what it takes to get the victory, but it’s hard to see them doing so by more than a touchdown. They are still without top receiver Keenan Allan and left tackle Rashawn Slater, which may impact the offence’s rhythm just enough to keep Seattle in the mix.

The Seahawks have been proving people wrong all season long, and that could be the case once again at SoFi Stadium.
