The NFL visits its fourth country of the 2022 season on Monday night as the San Francisco 49ers take on the Arizona Cardinals in Mexico.

After three games in London and last week's first regular-season visit to Munich, the league returns to another familiar international venue with this NFC West clash at the Estadio Azteca.

Punters are advised to wait until close to kick-off before betting on this game - not just to watch the World Cup games first, but because it is not known whether Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray will be able to take part. Murray missed last week's win over the Los Angeles Rams but has been able to practise on a limited basis this week.

The 49ers are fancied to get the job done in this game whoever starts at QB for Arizona, but the handicap is likely to decrease if Murray is ruled out, so favourite-backers are advised to be patient.

The fact that veteran back-up QB McCoy was able to secure a 27-17 win over the Super Bowl champions last week may also factor into the Cardinals' thinking and cause them not to rush Murray back into service if he is not fully fit.

The Cardinals are still struggling at 4-6, though, and the 49ers present one of their toughest tests of the season with their relentless running game and tough defence.

The Californian club recently added another offensive weapon when trading for running back Christian McCaffrey and they have impressed in their last two wins over the Rams and Chargers.
