Best bet
Arizona Cardinals +3 v Cincinnati Bengals

Winless teams collide at the Paul Brown Stadium as Arizona take on Cincinnati and the Cardinals look worth siding with to run the Bengals close.

Kliff Kingsbury’s side fought back from an 18-point deficit to earn a 27-27 tie with Detroit in their season opener, but they have struggled to kick on having suffered double-digit defeats to Carolina and Seattle over the past two weeks.

However, that Lions game and their narrow loss to Baltimore indicates that Arizona can be competitive, and after a tricky schedule Cincinnati poses a big opportunity to finally get a win on the board.

The Bengals have been a tough side to work out.

They pushed Seattle all the way in their first game, in which Andy Dalton passed for over 400 yards, and were unlucky to lose to Buffalo. But their defence collapsed against San Francisco and they had an absolute horror show against Pittsburgh.

Cincinnati put only three points on the board, but should fare better against an Arizona team, who are the second-worst ranked defence in the league.

This one could easily turn into a shootout but the Cardinals look better equipped to come out on top with the likes of Kyler Murray and David Johnson and they can capitalise on Cincinnati’s weak rushing defence.

Next best bet
New York Giants +5 v Minnesota Vikings

After a poor start to the season the Giants have won their last two games and should have the confidence to take it to Minnesota.

The turning point for Pat Shurmur’s side came with the introduction of rookie quarterback Daniel Jones, who threw two touchdowns and ran another couple in himself in their 32-31 victory over Tampa Bay, while the loss of Saquon Barkley allowed Wayne Gallman to step up to the plate against Washington.

Minnesota meanwhile were shocking against Chicago last week and there is pressure on quarterback Kirk Cousins to deliver the goods with his team holding the second-fewest number of passing yards in the league.

The Vikings have lost five of their last six road games and could struggle to get back on track against a new-look Giants team who have shown they are on the up.

Best points bet
Jacksonville to score over 17.5 points v Carolina

Gardner Minshew magic was in full flow once again last week as the quarterback led Jacksonville to a game-winning drive against Denver in the dying seconds and the rookie can guide his side to the end zone once again against Carolina.

The Jaguars have scored at least 20 points in three of their four matches and Leonard Fournette showed signs of returning to his best with 225 rushing yards last week.

Carolina’s defence has been resilient at times, highlighted last week in their 16-10 win over Houston, but aren’t quite the full package and this looks a generous points line that Jacksonville should be able to overcome.

Best player bet
Duke Johnson to score a touchdown in Atlanta at Houston

Houston's Duke Johnson is yet to find the endzone this season but has a good opportunity to get his first touchdown of the year against Atlanta.

The running back poses a dangerous dual threat in both the rush and passing game and should build on last week’s positive display against Carolina.
