Sunday's slate of Week Eight games in the NFL takes place on Halloween this year and searching for some Hallo-winners is Chris Rivers.

Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills

The Bills got run over by Derrick Henry and the Tennessee Titans before their bye week but should make a triumphant return to action at Miami’s expense. Buffalo have thrashed the Dolphins in their last two meetings, winning by at least 30 points on each occasion, and have covered the spread in seven of their last nine at home.

The Dolphins have lost six straight, failing to cover in five of those and don’t have the required talent on either side of the ball to get the better of a Bills side who have the best points differential in the league at +17.5.

New England Patriots at Los Angeles Chargers

New England produced their best offensive performance of the season when hanging 54 on the New York Jets last week and should make the trip west full of confidence. The Patriots have a good recent record against the Chargers, winning nine of the last ten meetings, including a 45-0 drubbing last season.

The Bolts are greatly improved since the teams last met but still have their weaknesses, most notably in the run game where the defence are giving up a league-high 162.5 yards per game. The Patriots have moved the ball well on the ground recently as part of an improving offence and could have the tools to keep the Chargers in check.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at New Orleans Saints

The Buccaneers put the Bears to the sword in Week Seven as Tom Brady passed the 600 touchdown pass mark and can keep the ball rolling at divisional rivals New Orleans. The Saints have had the better of this rivalry in the last decade but the torch may have passed back to the Bucs in last season’s playoffs when Tampa Bay won at the Superdome by ten points.

The Saints have only got worse since that postseason meeting with the offence struggling to perform consistently. They could find it tough to move the ball against a Bucs defence that ranks seventh in DVOA, which measures a team's success on every play against the league average.

Tampa Bay's offence, which has averaged 37 points per game through the last three weeks, has the tools to worry a strong Saints defence.

Washington Football Team at Denver Broncos

Denver made a habit of beating bad teams to start the season and this week’s opponents Washington certainly fit that bill as the Broncos look to snap a four-game losing streak.

Denver hope to have defensive leader Von Miller available for this game, while Jerry Jeudy is back to boost the offence for a team that has covered the handicap in nine of their last 11 matches following a Thursday night game.

Washington are 1-6 against the spread on the year and are floundering on both sides of the ball right now with the defence giving up an average of 30 points per game.

The offence has managed less than 19 points per game the last four weeks and could be missingstar receiver with Terry McLaurin, who missed practice time this week due to a hamstring issue.
