Los Angeles Rams at Indianapolis Colts

The Rams finally have a quarterback they can rely on in Matthew Stafford and that is a scary prospect for the rest of the league.

Stafford posted a career-high pass rating (156.1) in the Week One win over the Chicago Bears, who were kept at bay by a Rams defence that didn’t get the recognition they deserved for a strong outing.

The Rams have covered in four of the last five when favourites and have the chance to improve that record against a Colts side that’s far from the finished article with issues on both sides of the ball.

Denver Broncos at Jacksonville Jaguars

6pm Sunday

The knives are already out for head coach Urban Meyer in Jacksonville and Denver are catching them at a good time. The Jags have lost 16 straight games, their latest defeat being a shambolic Week One loss at Houston where No.1 draft pick Trevor Lawrence found the going tough.

This week’s assignment is much harder. Denver’s defence performed at a high level in the win over the New York Giants with Von Miller back in the line-up. The Broncos offence look efficient under new quarterback Teddy Brigewater and their run game can punch some big holes in the Jags.

Tennessee Titans at Seattle Seahawks

9.25pm Sunday

Seattle brushed aside Indianapolis in Week One thanks to a measured approach on offence and a strong showing from the defensive front. The Seahawks held the Colts to 113 yards on the ground and that bodes well for the visit of rushing king Derrick Henry.

The Titans are working under a new offensive coordinator in Todd Downing this year and it could take time for them to get into their stride, particularly if the offensive line performs as poorly as it did in the loss to Arizona.

They won’t find life any easier against Seattle, who are on a run of eight unders in their last ten.

Dallas Cowboys at LA Chargers

9.25pm Sunday

The Cowboys tried to fix their defence in the summer having conceded 30 or more points on eight separate occasions last season but are clearly a work in progress.

America’s Team are finding it tough to pressurise the opponent’s quarterback, leaving the secondary exposed and the wealth of receiving options the Chargers boast should see them put up points with regularity.

Kansas City Chiefs at Baltimore Ravens

Sky Sports Main Event & NFL, 1.20am Sunday

Where would Kansas City be without Patrick Mahomes? It doesn’t bear thinking about for the Chiefs after the quarterback led another come from behind win over Cleveland in Week One. Mahomes finished with 337 yards against the Browns, taking his September average for passing yards to 330 per game.

Mahomes gets to face one of his favourite opponents this week in Baltimore and heads into the game having put up 385, 363 and 347 yards in his three starts against the Ravens. Baltimore are missing their best corner Marcus Peters, while fellow back Marlon Humphrey is banged up, clearing the stage for another big Mahomes performance.
