Free NFL picks, best bets and analysis for Week 15 of the 2020 NFL season.

Seattle Seahawks at Washington Football Team

Where to watch

Sky Sports NFL, 6pm Sunday

Best bet

Under 43.5 points
2pts 10-11 general

Match preview

Seattle have already fallen victim to one NFC East underdog this season and could be in danger of repeating that mistake at Washington.

The Seahawks bounced back from their shock loss to the New York Giants by thrashing the New York Jets but it would be dangerous to read too much into that 40-3 demolition of the NFL's whipping boys.

Seattle's offence was red-hot to start the season but has cooled, averaging just shy of 20 points a game in the last four weeks.

Washington have won their last four thanks mainly to their defence as their injury-hit offence struggles to move the ball and Seattle's own improvements on defence should make this a low-scoring nail-biter.

Key stats

  • Seven of Washington's last nine games have gone under the total-points line.
  • The away team has won the last five meetings between Washington and Seattle.
  • Seattle have failed to cover the handicap in their last four away games.

Kansas City Chiefs at New Orleans Saints

Where to watch

Sky Sports NFL, 9.25pm Sunday

Best bet

New Orleans +3
1pt 10-11 Hills

Match preview

After their slip-up in Philadelphia last week, the New Orleans Saints desperately need a win to stay in the mix for the top seeding in the NFC.

The loss to the Eagles snapped New Orleans' nine-match winning run and now they face the Kansas City Chiefs in a potential Super Bowl preview.

Not many are giving the Saints a chance, despite them still having a top defence – one that can expose a banged-up Chiefs offensive line – while quarterback Drew Brees is set to return.

Kansas City have won eight in a row but haven't covered the handicap in their last five as they gear up for their toughest test of the year so far.

Key stats

  • New Orleans have covered the handicap in six of their last seven home games as the underdog.
  • Seven of Kansas City’s last ten away games have gone under the total-points line.
  • Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes has thrown for over 300 yards in six consecutive games.

Cleveland Browns at New York Giants

Where to watch

Sky Sports NFL, 1.20am Sunday night

Best bet

Over 25 Cleveland points
1pt 10-11 Betway, BoyleSports

Match preview

Cleveland's offence couldn't have done much more in Monday's loss to the Baltimore Ravens as they came out on the wrong side of an 89-point thriller.

Having been let down by the defence, they will try again against a New York Giants team still in the playoff picture despite sitting at 5-8 after defeat to Arizona.

The Cardinals triumphed 26-7 but the scoreline could have been more emphatic as they converted on only two of five trips to the redzone. The Browns won't go so easy on a Giants defence missing a couple of key individuals.

Cleveland arrive in New York having put up 40 points in consecutive games and averaging nearly 28 points per game on the road.

Key stats

  • New York have won six of their last seven meetings with Cleveland.
  • Cleveland have failed to cover the handicap in six of their last eight games.
  • The total-points line has gone over in eight of Cleveland's 13 matches this season.

NFL Week 15 non-televised best bets

Best bets

Indianapolis Colts -7.5
1pt 20-21 general
Over 46.5 points in Chicago Bears v Minnesota Vikings
1pt 10-11 general

Analysis

The Houston Texans came within a fumbled snap of beating Indianapolis a fortnight ago but that looks to have been nothing more than a minor blip for the Colts.

They hammered the Las Vegas Raiders 44-27 last week, taking their points-per-game average for the last five weeks to 33, and can cover the handicap for the 13th time in 18 meetings with Houston.

It is win or bust for both Minnesota and Chicago as they battle for a playoff berth.

The Bears have looked better on offence with Mitchell Trubisky back at quarterback and the total-points line could be too low with six of the Vikings' seven home games going over this season.
