Best bet
Cincinnati Bengals +7.5 at Cleveland Browns

Last week Cincinnati ended a run of 11 straight defeats to secure their first win of the season against the Jets, and that victory could inspire them to keep things close against divisional rivals Cleveland.

The Bengals had been knocking on the door of a first win after pushing Oakland and Pittsburgh close, and the return of veteran quarterback Andy Dalton appeared to make a difference as he threw for 243 yards and a touchdown.

However their defence has been most impressive recently, allowing only 39 points in their last three games, a real improvement considering they had shipped at least 21 in every previous contest.

They were successful in keeping the Jets out of the end zone, and have a good chance of doing the same to Cleveland with Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield suffering hand and rib injuries in last week's defeat by Pittsburgh.

The Browns’ playoff hopes were dealt a severe blow in that 20-13 loss and they struggled to get any rhythm on offence after taking a 10-0 lead. Running back Nick Chubb was held to 58 rushing yards and will look to bounce back given Cincinnati have the worst run defence.

But the Bengals proved they can hold their own on the attack with Joe Mixon in form, and the confidence earned in that Jets win could result in a competitive AFC North clash.

Next best bet
Miami Dolphins +5.5 at New York Jets

The Jets were woeful against the Bengals last week and could struggle to turn things around when they host the Dolphins.

Miami pulled off an incredible 37-31 victory over Philadelphia that included a superb trick play as punter Matt Haack completed a touchdown pass to kicker Jason Sanders. Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick also passed for 365 yards and three touchdowns.

The Florida franchise are certain to take plenty of positives from that plucky performance and they defeated the Jets 26-18 when the AFC East rivals met last month.

Fitzpatrick also had a big game that day and the likely absence of Jets' star safety Jamal Adams gives the veteran passer a great opportunity to pick his former team apart.

The Jets have won their last two at home and boast the best run defence in the league, but Miami should make this a tough game for the New York side.

Best points bet
Over 41.5 points in Washington at Green Bay Packers

Green Bay pummelled the Giants 31-13 last week and there could be plenty of points when they host Washington.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers was in red-hot form with four touchdown passes, and the Packers offence have racked up at least 21 points in every game at Lambeau Field this season.

Washington are showing signs of progress under rookie QB Dwayne Haskins and have won their last two games.

They put 29 points on the board against Carolina with running backs Derrius Guice and Adrian Peterson getting plenty of yards, and they should be able to cause problems for Green Bay, who have the fifth-worst defence in the NFL.

Best player bet
Vance McDonald to score a touchdown in Pittsburgh Steelers at Arizona Cardinals

Arizona have leaked touchdowns to tight ends all season and Vance McDonald could be the latest player to reap the rewards for Pittsburgh.

Despite finding the end zone only three times this season, he caught all three of his targets last week against Cleveland. With running back James Conner and wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster both out, Steelers quarterback Devlin Hodges could look to McDonald to put points on the board.
