Atlanta Falcons at Carolina Panthers

6pm Sunday

The Panthers lost top running back Christian McCaffrey to a season-ending injury before their bye week and Chuba Hubbard is in line to pick up the slack in his absence.

Hubbard has enjoyed a productive first season in the NFL, rushing for 427 yards and three touchdowns. One of his best performances of the year came against Atlanta when he piled up 82 yards on the ground, and a repeat performance looks likely.

Carolina are a run-first offence and tore a strip off the Atlanta defence in their Week Eight meeting, rushing for over 200 yards. In the last seven weeks, the Falcons have given up at least 109 rushing yards and look vulnerable against the Panthers.

Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns

6pm Sunday

The Browns and Ravens faced off a fortnight ago and it was an ugly encounter, the two teams combining for just 26 points. Cleveland struggled to move the ball on the ground against Baltimore’s number one ranked run defence and were forced to take to the air, much to the benefit of Jarvis Landry.

The Brown wide receiver registered a season-high 111 receiving yards in that game and has been quarterback Baker Mayfield’s favourite target in the Browns’ last two games now.

Landry lines up against a Ravens team that’s seen its pass protection decimated by injuries in the last week, most notably losing top cornerback Marlon Humphrey to a season-ending injury in the loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

With minimal competition in the Browns’ receiving core, Landry is all set to take his conservative receiving line over its mark.

Seattle Seahawks at Houston Texans

6pm Sunday

Houston are ready for the 2021 season to end after being shut out by the Indianapolis Colts last week in a 31-0 defeat that saw them fall to 2-10.

While the defence is still putting in the effort, the Texans offence has been virtually non-existent. Houston registered just 141 yards of offence against the Colts, which shockingly isn’t even their lowest total of the season.

Only 57 of those yards were attributed to the passing game as Tyrod Taylor, who suffered a wrist injury during the lost, and then Davis Mills failed to get the offence moving.

Houston have now had less than 200 passing yards in five of the last six games, while Mills has thrown for less than 200 yards in five of his eight appearances this season.

Detroit Lions at Denver Broncos

9.05pm Sunday

The Broncos are kings of the unders game this season with a league-high ten of their last 12 matches finishing below the total points mark.

Denver finished last week’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs having scored just nine points and the offence has failed to crack the 20-point barrier in six of the last nine outings.

The Lions head to Colorado fresh from their first win of the season but dealing with a flu outbreak in the camp. Quarterback Jared Goff has been laid low by the virus and could miss this game, while star running back D’Andre Swift is out with a shoulder injury.

Even when that duo have played this year it’s been a struggle to put up points, Detroit averaging less than 17 points per game. This fixture has under written all over it.
