Atlanta Falcons at Jacksonville Jaguars

6pm Sunday

The schedule has thrown together two of the worst performing offences in the NFL in Week 12, much to the delight of unders bettors.

The Jaguars have scored fewer than 20 points in seven of their ten games this season, helping the under to land eight of those games. Number one overall pick Trevor Lawrence has struggled to get the best out of his limited arsenal all year and that was before he lost one of his better receivers, Jamal Agnew, to a season-ending injury.

The Falcons have scored three points in their last two games combined and are averaging less than 18 points per game on the year. Since top receiver Calvin Ridley went on injured reserve, Atlanta have averaged less than 15 points per game and this looks like being an ugly contest.

Tennessee Titans at New England Patriots

6pm Sunday

The Titans offence is down to the bare bones for their trip to New England with AJ Brown set to join Julio Jones, Derrick Henry and Marcus Johnson on the sidelines. That will make life difficult for quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who put in his worst performance of the season last time out, throwing four interceptions in the shock loss to the Texans.

Tannehill has now thrown at least one pick in five of his last six games, music to the ears of a Patriots defence that leads the league in interceptions with 18. New England have had two or more interceptions in four of the last six games, picking off Atlanta quarterback Matt Ryan four times in Week 11.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Indianapolis Colts

6pm Sunday

Tom Brady’s long-time running buddy Rob Gronkowski made a welcome return from injury for the Buccaneers in Monday’s win over the Giants, immediately re-establishing himself as a key part of the Tampa Bay attack. The tight end had the joint highest number of catches (six) and most yards (71) in his first appearance since Week Three and his production level shouldn’t drop off against the Colts.

Gronkowski helped himself to a brace of touchdowns in each of Tampa Bay’s opening two games of the season, while he finished the Bucs’ first three games as Brady’s second favourite red zone target. The Colts have had issues stopping Gronk in the past, giving up seven touchdowns in six previous games against him, while only two defences have allowed more scores to tight ends than Indianapolis this season.

Minnesota Vikings at San Francisco 49ers

Sunday 9.25pm

Brandon Aiyuk spent the first seven weeks of the season on the naughty step in San Francisco but since being allowed out to play he’s made a telling contribution. In two of the Niners’ last three games, Aiyuk has finished with more than 80 receiving yards and heads into this encounter with the Vikings following his best outing of the season against Jacksonville.

Aiyuk has been targeted at least seven times in three of the last four games so seems well ingrained in head coach Kyle Shanahan’s plans. He should see another large number of targets against a Vikings team who don’t have a good track record of defending wide receivers this year, allowing 195 receiving yards per game to the position on average.
