Match preview

New Orleans tightened their grip on the NFC South with a win over Carolina last week but they were a touch fortunate as the Panthers missed two extra points and a field goal that would have handed the Saints their third defeat of the season.

And head coach Sean Payton will be concerned that two starting members of his offensive line, Terron Armstead and Andrus Peat, will not be available.

That should have the Atlanta defence licking their lips with anticipation as they sacked Saints quarterback Drew Brees six times in a 26-9 loss they dished out to their divisional rivals in Louisiana three weeks ago.

That was one of only three victories that the Falcons have mustered in their opening 11 games but they followed that with a 29-3 victory over the Panthers and it looked as if they had turned the corner.

Losing to Tampa Bay last time out should help them refocus and as they are the only team since Week Two to get the better of the Saints, there is a decent chance that they will be able to stay within a converted touchdown.
