It’s a battle of 2-4 teams as the New Orleans Saints take on the Cardinals in Arizona, and it’s the road team who look more likely to secure the win.

The Saints have been underrated in the betting market all season and this game is no different. They will be getting back star rookie receiver Chris Olave and quarterback Andy Dalton has been very effective in the past few weeks. He ranks ninth in the NFL in success rate among QBs this season and best against the blitz, which is the Cardinals’ strong point.

Arizona’s offence has struggled a lot this season and they are last in the league in points per drive. Now they are without Marquise Brown – the favourite target of quarterback Kyler Murray – and his absence is sure to be felt.

The good news for the Cardinals is that they will be welcoming back receiver DeAndre Hopkins from suspension, but it may take him some time to rebuild chemistry after missing the first six games.

What could really damage this Cardinals offence, though, are the injuries they are dealing with on the offensive line. Their starting guard Justin Pugh and starting centre Rodney Hudson are both questionable, and that could result in Murray having less time to throw and potentially scrambling with the ball a lot more.

Arizona might have home-field advantage, but remarkably they have lost their last eight games at State Farm Stadium and all signs point to this being number nine. Expect the Saints to beat the Cardinals, but take the extra point on the spread as some insurance.
