Game preview

New England have looked as good as ever on their way to a perfect 7-0 record, but that could come to an end when they take on Baltimore.

The Patriots have won five of those seven games by 21 points or more, and it has only really been their clash with divisional rivals Buffalo where head coach Bill Belichick has had something to think about.

Their defence has been borderline impenetrable, scoring as many touchdowns (four) as they have conceded, and if you take away all the points scored by their offence they would still have a 4-2-2 record.

However, it is worth remembering they have faced some poor teams, with the combined record of their opponents this season standing at 15-43. Buffalo are the only team they have come up against who have a winning record.

Now they take on a Ravens side who have won their last three games as opponents struggle to cope with the dual threat of quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Alongside running back Mark Ingram, Jackson has helped Baltimore to become the best rushing offence in the league and it remains to be seen how Belichick will look to snuff it out.

While you can never count out the Patriots, the hosts have looked hot prospects in their own right and should give New England all they can handle in a close game.
