Thursday Night Football this week sees a rematch of Super Bowl LI as the New England Patriots head to Atlanta to take on the Falcons.

The Patriots are red-hot right now, in the midst of a four-game winning streak and currently just half a game behind the Bills in the AFC East.

Although they ran up the score last week in their 45-7 demolition of the Browns, the key to New England’s success has been their vicious defence. Given the Falcons are coming off a shock 43-3 loss to the Cowboys, the Atlanta offence could struggle and that may result in a low-scoring game.

Apart from Kyle Pitts and Cordarelle Patterson, the Falcons are lacking in offensive production and it’s hard to see how they can keep the chains moving against a Patriots defence that has allowed the second-fewest points in the NFL and is in the top ten against both the pass and run.

New England have kept three of their last four opponents to 13 points or fewer and have allowed just five rushing touchdowns in ten games this season. The Pats have also allowed the seventh-fewest passing yards per attempt, which is bad news for Matt Ryan as he looks to bounce back from his horror show against the Cowboys.

As for the Patriots offence, while they put 45 points on the Browns, the jury is still out on rookie quarterback Mac Jones at this stage in his career and Atlanta should be able to keep him in check. Go with the under.
