The Vikings made a huge statement in Week One with a comfortable win over NFC North rivals Green Bay, and can follow that up by at least pushing Philadelphia right to the finish. Minnesota’s offence looks ferocious this season behind star wide receiver Justin Jefferson and top running back Dalvin Cook.

Jefferson had nine receptions for 184 yards and two touchdowns in last week’s victory over the Packers, and quarterback Kirk Cousins is expected to build on the rapport he has created with his wide man.

The Eagles struggled to contain Lions running back D’Andre Swift in last week’s 38-35 victory, and could be in for another tough day against Cook.

The Eagles do boast plenty of talent themselves, and their receiving duo of AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith is among the best pairings in the league. Although Philadelphia scored 38 points against Detroit, the Vikings defence is a big step up and should cause the Eagles some problems.

The Vikings registered four sacks against the Packers last week, and should be able to get to Philly QB Jalen Hurts while also negating their run game.

By contrast, the Eagles registered just one sack in their win over Detroit last week and had the second-fewest in the NFL last season. If Cousins gets time on the ball, that means Jefferson has time to get downfield and can burn the Philadelphia cornerbacks.

All things considered, the Vikings could get the win, but take them with the 2.5 points as insurance.
