It’s fair to say that both of these teams have endured underwhelming campaigns, but it is the Buccaneers who seem likeliest to get their season back on track with a victory in Tampa.

When betting first became available for this game in the summer, the Rams were made 2.5-point favourites. So it shows how far below expectations last season's Super Bowl winners have performed as they are go into in the game as underdogs by the same margin.

Los Angeles’ offence has struggled massively this year and you only need to look at last week’s loss to the 49ers to see why. Despite having an extra week to prepare, the Rams posted just 14 points against an injury-plagued San Francisco team and that has been the story for much of their season.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford has had his struggles but it’s the Rams' offensive line that has been the real issue. They rank as the second-worst offensive line in the league which has resulted in LA being unable to sustain long drives.

The Buccaneers haven’t been great either, but they have at least shown signs of improvement since a number of their key receivers have returned from injury.

Tom Brady looked sharper against the Ravens last week and Sunday's contest looks the perfect opportunity for him to prove that he is still one of the best in the business.

Expect the Bucs to come out firing at home so take them to win by at least a field goal.
