The Las Vegas Raiders make the trip down to Los Angeles to take on the Rams, and it’s fair to say that these teams are going in different directions.

Despite winning the Super Bowl just ten months ago, the Rams have won just three of their 12 games this season and hopes of retaining their crown have already vanished.

The Raiders got off to a shaky start but have won their last three and have their sights set on making a late push for the playoffs.

Los Angeles made a splash this week in claiming former number-one draft pick Baker Mayfield off waivers, and the quarterback is already in line to start this primetime match. While Mayfield has his doubters, there is every chance he can keep the Rams close in this game.

Despite having one of the worst offences in the league, the Rams still boast plenty of talent from that run to the Super Bowl, and running back Cam Akers put in a solid performance in last week’s loss to the Seahawks.

LA’s defence remains a top-level unit and it will be exciting to see how cornerback Jalen Ramsey performs against Raiders wideout Davante Adams.

The Raiders are in good form but each of their last three wins has been by a touchdown or less and it is a big ask for them to go to LA and get a comfortable win against this Rams team. This feels like a situation where Vegas are being given too much credit and the Rams are being overlooked so take the hosts to keep it close.
