The Los Angeles Rams meet the Seahawks in Seattle on Thursday night and it’s the road team who look best positioned to come away from Lumen Field with the victory.

Los Angeles got thumped by Arizona on Sunday in their first loss of the season but can be expected to enter this matchup fired up and looking to make a statement.

New quarterback Matthew Stafford has been lighting it up with the offense, having already thrown 11 touchdown passes (the second-most in the league), and running riot against defenses with the help of wide receiver Cooper Kupp.

Kupp has the third-most receiving yards in the NFL, and has caught the most touchdown passes so far this season. That offensive unit now gets to take on a Seahawks team who have allowed at least 322 passing yards in each of their last three games, and has also given up the most rushing yards in the NFL. Given LA’s strength through the air and running back Darrell Henderson’s solid start to the season, they should prove too strong for Seattle.

The Seahawks offense has also looked tremendous, but they haven’t yet faced a defense as good as the Rams’ and that could put them in trouble.

A lot of pressure is put on Seattle’s offense to deliver and if they fail to do so then they usually lose games, as shown in their 30-17 defeat to Minnesota a couple of weeks ago.

Even then, it sometimes isn’t enough even when the offense is firing, as the 33-30 overtime loss to Tennessee highlighted. Expect the Rams defense to pacify the Seahawks for long enough to outscore them and come away with the win. Take LA to win this by a field goal.
