Game preview
Kansas City and the Los Angeles Chargers make the trip to Mexico City for this Week 11 showdown and both teams are looking to get back on track after an inconsistent run of form.
While the Chiefs currently top the standings in the AFC West they were expected to be doing much better than their current 6-4 record.
Their shock 35-32 loss to Tennessee last week, despite the return of quarterback Patrick Mahomes, highlighted how their all-out attack mentality can sometimes backfire.
Kansas City have an enviable offence and even with Mahomes missing two games due to injury they have still averaged the most passing yards per game in the league. In addition, only Baltimore have scored more points than them this season.
But on the flip side, as of Saturday they had conceded the fourth-most points in the AFC and their rushing defence was ranked second-worst in the NFL, giving up an average of 148 yards per game.
That could open the door for the Chargers, who boast not only a top running back in Melvin Gordon, but also Austin Ekeler who has proven a valuable asset out of the backfield this season.
Gordon has scored at least one touchdown in his last four games and racked up over 100 total yards in his last two. He is likely to carry the load for LA in Monday night's clash and given that the Chiefs conceded 188 rushing yards and two touchdowns to Tennessee's Derrick Henry last week, Gordon should have a few opportunities to find the end zone.
