Jaguars defence can make life tough for Texans
Best bets for Sunday's Houston v Jacksonville clash
Sky Sports Action, 6pm Sunday
Houston will not be able to dwell on letting the AFC number-two seeding slip from their grasp last week as their division title still has to be sealed and they cannot afford to sit back against Jacksonville.
A win will be enough to guarantee them third spot after their spirited fightback against Philadelphia fell just short last week, but there has been a feeling throughout the last few days that their task may be tougher than originally anticipated.
The handicap line was at ten at the start of the week but has come in to 6.5.
The Jaguars won three of their opening four matches but their season has been a tale of woe pretty much every since as their campaign has collapsed around their ears.
They have averaged just 16.1 points per game this term and their production is unlikely to be boosted if running back Leonard Fournette is unfit.
Their offensive line is banged up which has led to problems for quarterback Blake Bortles and his recent replacement Cody Kessler and it remains to be seen who will be given the green light for their closing clash for the campaign.
It looks like it will be difficult for the Jags to score points - they have scored more than 20 in just two of their last ten games - but they do look to be showing their ability on the other side of the ball.
They have conceded an average of 13 points in their last four matches and are capable of making life difficult for the Texans, even if they are able to welcome back top rusher Lamar Miller.
The points line is low, but it is still one that may not be eclipsed.
