Game preview

Indianapolis have had plenty to cope with since quarterback Andrew Luck retired on the eve of the campaign, but coach Frank Reich also has some defensive issues to ponder after they allowed Oakland to rack up 31 points last week.

That would mean heading to Kansas City to tackle one of the best pass offences in the league with a sense of trepidation and bookmakers are understandably anticipating a points-fest.

The Colts are double-figure underdogs, but they could be more of a force offensively than they were against the Raiders when scoring 14 of their 24 points in the final quarter.

The likely return of wide receiver TY Hilton is a boost and running back Marlon Mack should be able to make a more positive impact than he did last week when an ankle injury limited him to just 39 rushing yards.

Kansas City have won all four of their opening matches and all indications point to them enjoying another deep run into the playoffs.

However, they have conceded at least 26 points in three of those four outings, so there is potential for the Colts to make a hefty contribution to a high-scoring game.

The lowdown

Kansas City have won six of their last seven matches.
