Arguably the most anticipated game of Week Three takes place down in Tampa as the Packers take on the Buccaneers. It’s Aaron Rodgers v Tom Brady once again, and there is reason to believe that Rodgers can get the better of his old rival.

First off, the Bucs will be without star receiver Mike Evans due to a suspension he received for an altercation in last week’s win over the New Orleans Saints.

Losing Evans in isolation wouldn’t be too bad but Tampa are also likely to be without Chris Godwin and Julio Jones, who are both carrying injuries.

The Packers were embarrassed by the Minnesota Vikings in Week One but it was a similar story last season when they were thumped by the Saints in their opener and still went on to top the NFL North with a 13-4 record.

Green Bay duly bounced back from that Minnesota disappointment with a comfortable win over the Chicago Bears last week and they should be able to continue on the right track against the Bucs.

Rodgers averaged 9.4 yards per pass attempt against the Bears and running back Aaron Jones finished the game with 132 rushing yards.

The Bucs’ defence remains one of the best in the league but is likely to have its hands full, opening the door for the Packers to land the spoils.
