As the week went on, it began to look less and less likely that Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson will be able to shake off an ankle injury in time to play, but the Packers would be the pick for this game even if Jackson was fully fit.

Jackson limped out of the Ravens' defeat at Cleveland last Sunday and was not able to practise on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. His backup, Tyler Huntley, looked pretty good after replacing him in that game, with 270 passing yards and 45 on the ground.

The Ravens’ recent efforts have generally been underwhelming, though, and they are rightly underdogs at home to current NFC top seeds, Green Bay. The Ravens suffered a late meltdown in their previous game against Pittsburgh and had not impressed in earlier wins over Cleveland and Chicago or a terrible loss to Miami.

The Packers had a setback themselves with a recent loss to the Vikings and QB Aaron Rodgers is dealing with a troublesome toe injury, but as long as he's able to play he should have a big game against an injury-hit Baltimore secondary.

The defeat to the Vikings was the only game in which the Packers have not covered the handicap since their Week One disaster against the Saints and they should prove to be the best team the Ravens have met for some time.
