Week Seven of the NFL season kicks off with the Denver Broncos facing the Cleveland Browns on Thursday Night Football.

Both teams have had horrific luck with injuries but the situation in Cleveland is ridiculous, which could swing things in Denver’s favour.

Quarterback Baker Mayfield’s status is currently up in the air, while both running backs Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt have already been ruled out.

Cleveland’s starting tackles Jedrick Wills and Jack Conklin could also miss out, along with star receiver Odell Beckham. With the Browns in such disarray, Denver should be able to keep this one within a field goal.

The Broncos offence has struggled since losing receivers Jerry Jeudy and KJ Hamler, but they have always been a defensive-minded team and it is hard to see how the Browns offence will get anything going against them, given their current state.

The Browns have allowed 14 passing touchdowns this season, which is the third-most in the league, so Denver QB Teddy Bridgewater could be in for a good night.

This one looks set to be low-scoring regardless of whether Mayfield or Case Keenum starts at quarterback for the Browns, and the fact that Denver have an excellent run defence should mean that the hosts struggle to get anything going on the ground. Back the Broncos to keep this one close.
