Game preview

No team have averaged more yards per game on offence this year than Dallas and they look a good bet to convert those yards into points when they take on New England.

The Cowboys have failed to score more than 18 points only once, and have put 72 on the board in their last two road games.

Quarterback Dak Prescott threw for a phenomenal 444 yards and three touchdowns in last week’s 35-27 win over Detroit, with receivers Michael Gallup and Randall Cobb both hitting triple figures for yardage.

They are coming up against a Patriots team boasting the best defence in the league, allowing only four passing touchdowns this year while securing 19 interceptions.

There is certainly some concern over that, particularly as Prescott’s match temperament can be questionable at times, but Baltimore highlighted how an offence can beat New England on the ground and Dallas running back Ezekiel Elliott could be a key component to his side moving the chains.

Given how strong the Cowboys have looked while attacking this year, securing 19 points or more should be well within their capability and they can take it to the Patriots.
