Chargers look too weak to cope in tough division

The emergence of Oakland as a potential force in the AFC West means the battle for the division could go right to the wire, and that’s bad news for San Diego, who could find themselves tailed off.

The Raiders are marching having made good use of the high draft picks handed to them due to some dismal campaigns in the recent past and bookmakers have found it difficult to separate them from Super Bowl champions Denver and Kansas City, who continue to make strides under Andy Reid.

However, the Chargers, who could yet join the Rams in moving to Los Angeles, have struggled to strengthen and rely too much on quarterback Philip Rivers.
