The 2022-23 NFL season kicks off with a humdinger of a game between the Super Bowl champions and the Super Bowl favourites, and the Bills look worth backing to show that they are a force to be reckoned with this season.

There should be a party atmosphere in Los Angeles as the Rams play their first competitive games since beating the Bengals in the Super Bowl, also in their own stadium, but they are underdogs for their first game.

The Bills top the Super Bowl betting for good reason, with arguably the league’s best roster including a tremendous arsenal of offensive weapons for quarterback Josh Allen to exploit. Buffalo’s already-strong defence has become even tougher with the addition of Von Miller and the Bills should cause trouble for a Rams offensive line that has seen major changes in the off-season.

The Rams added wide receiver Allen Robinson in free agency, but they could miss Odell Beckham Jr, while their running game was largely underwhelming last season, so they will depend greatly on prolific receiver Cooper Kupp again. The Rams should still be able to get after the quarterback through star man Aaron Donald but their cornerbacks could struggle against Buffalo’s dynamic receivers.

The Bills' continuity and firepower make them an attractive pick for the opener and the ultra-modern facilities at SoFi Stadium haven't proved a huge advantage for the Rams.

The road team should have plenty of fans in attendance and they might well be treated to a Bills victory.
