Game preview
Dallas are a staple of Thanksgiving football and look to maintain their slender lead in the NFC East when they host the resilient Buffalo.
The Cowboys boast the best total offence in the league in terms of average yards per game, with much of that due to quarterback Dak Prescott, who has the most passing yards this season.
However, last Sunday the Texas franchise could manage only nine points at New England with Prescott held to 212 passing yards, no touchdowns and an interception.
While the bad weather was a contributing factor to Dallas’s poor output, which will not be a concern as their stadium has a retractable roof, New England boast one of the best defences in the league and highlighted how even the top offence is not unstoppable.
This week they take on an equally-impressive defence with the Bills allowing the third-fewest points in the NFL, which has been the key factor behind their 8-3 record.
Only twice have Buffalo contested a game which has had more than 42 points scored – both against Miami – and they have the third-best passing defence, which should be able to keep Prescott in check.
The Bills offence is average at best, and the most points they have put on the board against teams with winning records is 14.
While a close game can be expected with both sides having their sights set on the playoffs, it could be a low-scoring one.
