The 2019 NFL Draft rolls into Tennessee, and with it excitement from fans around the globe hoping to see the arrival of their team's next star.

The order is determined by how teams performed last year, going from worst to best, so Arizona have the first overall pick after a 3-13 2018 season, while New England have the last pick of the first round after winning the Super Bowl.

The Cardinals are odds-on to select another quarterback this year in Oklahoma’s Kyler Murray despite choosing quarterback Josh Rosen tenth overall last year.

San Francisco 49ers have the second selection and could be open to trading down, but it is unlikely that any other team will make an offer tempting enough. In that case, defensive end Nick Bosa should make the move to California, where his brother Joey plays for the Los Angeles Chargers.

Ten things to watch for in the 2019 NFL Draft

The Jets are another team rumoured to be open to trading down, but again it doesn’t look as though teams will offer enough for the pick. Pass-rusher Josh Allen has been linked with them and would make sense, but general manager Mike Maccagnan is known for taking the best player available over team needs.

He did so in 2015 with Leonard Williams and again in 2017 with Jamal Adams, and both have been stars in New York.

If that is his plan again, it should mean Alabama defensive tackle Quinnen Williams gets the nod. The tricast for the first three picks made looks good value at 7-2.

There are plenty of franchises in need of a new quarterback and if Murray is off the board early that could spark panic across the league, even though this is not thought to be a vintage crop of passers.

The New York Giants, Jacksonville Jaguars, Denver Broncos and Miami Dolphins are just a few of the teams searching for a new QB, and first-round prospects Dwayne Haskins, Drew Lock and Daniel Jones are likely to be high on their draft boards.

Therefore, backing four or more quarterbacks to go in the first round could make sense.
