Nico Rosberg's last-gasp effort to snatch second place on the grid will have dampened Lewis Hamilton's spirits after the Englishman had dominated his championship rival up to that point in the Mexican Grand Prix weekend.
Championship leader Rosberg, who will win the title today if he wins with Hamilton no higher than tenth, had lagged at least half a second behind Hamilton in most of the practices and was struggling to match the Red Bull and Ferrari cars.
