Maciej Janowski looks primed to party in Prague
Artem Laguta appeals after impressing in Poland
Czech Rep Grand Prix
BT Sport 3, 6pm Saturday
‘Fast’ Freddie Lindgren put down a World Championship marker with 16 points in Poland two weeks ago but two of the other finalists in Warsaw merit backing in Prague.
Maciej Janowski, second behind Tai Woffinden in the final in Warsaw, looked superb in front of his own fans and he continues to impress.
The Pole has top-scored twice in two meetings for Dackarna over the past fortnight and also topped the sheets with a paid-15 for Wroclaw.
Janowski looks well worth a punt at 8-1, as does Artem Laguta at 18-1. The 27-year-old Russian, back on the Grand Prix circuit after a seven-year absence, was star of the show in Poland with four heat wins before trailing home last behind Woffinden, Janowski and Lindgren in the final.
It was a stunning effort from Laguta who backed that up with a 15-point haul for Grudziadz in defeat at Torun last Sunday. His bike is obviously in top order.
Both Janowski and Laguta gated superbly in Poland and that’s essential at the Marketa Stadium where overtaking opportunities are scarce.
