Defending World Rally champion Sebastien Ogier heads to Corsica with a four-point lead over last year's Tour de Corse hero Thierry Neuville.

After events on mountain ice, forest snow and dusty gravel, the series switches to asphalt for the first time this year.

The Corsican rally route is very different from last year's but it is just as twisty and the championship protagonists could be upstaged by Citroen drivers Kris Meeke and Sebastien Loeb.

Rally legend Loeb made a spectacular return in Mexico last time out, briefly leading and finishing fifth after a puncture.

Meeke is in championship contention, though, and was unlucky in Corsica last year, leading for the first six stages until a rare engine failure put him out.

The Citroen performs well on asphalt – Meeke won in Spain last year – and the Northern Irishman is worth backing to make up for last season's disappointment.

Recommendation
K Meeke
1pt 5-1 general
