Italian Grand Prix: MotoGP betting preview, tips, TV details
Rookie Fabio Quartararo continues to impress at Mugello | Marc Marquez on pole
BT Sport 2, 1pm Sunday
Another sublime qualifying lap from Marc Marquez gave the Spanish star his fourth pole position of the season for the Italian Grand Prix at Mugello.
It will be difficult for his rivals to prevent him converting that into a fourth race win, but at odds-on prices he does not represent the value he was for the Saturday session.
Marquez left it late to deny rookie Fabio Quartararo pole, catching a handy slipstream from Andrea Dovizioso on his final lap, but the Frenchman and Danilo Petrucci, who qualified third, are both at the front on merit after showing pace all weekend.
Petrucci is a 4-1 shot and Quartararo is on offer at 8-1, which makes him the more attractive each-way propostion with three places on offer.
The youngster took pole in Spain two races ago, only to fail to finish due to a gearbox problem, but he has been running at the front again all weekend, topping the times in the pre-qualifying fourth practice and making Marquez pull out all the stops to pip him.
Petrucci, fastest in practice three, has done little wrong either. He was on the podium in this race two years ago and set the fastest lap last year.
Leading grid positions: 1 M Marquez, 2 F Quartararo, 3 D Petrucci, 4 F Morbidelli, 5 J Miller, 6 C Crutchlow.
Leading standings: 1 M Marquez 95, 2 A Dovizioso 87, 3 A Rins 75, 4 V Rossi 72, 5 D Petrucci 57, 6 J Miller 42.
