Race preview
Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen had great on-track scraps in Monaco and Hungary this year, and we could be treated to another showdown in this evening's Brazilian Grand Prix.
Six-time world champion Hamilton got the better of the young pretender in both of those previous duels, but Verstappen is odds-on for victory at Interlagos.
The Red Bull driver dominated qualifying, topping all three segments, while Hamilton could manage only third on the grid.
That won't worry the Brit too much, though - his Mercedes has been much more competitive in race trim than in qualifying in recent races.
Hamilton started only fifth in Austin last time, but led for much of the race and was passed by his teammate Valtteri Bottas only late in the race after the Finn used a different strategy.
Mercedes have conjured victories for their drivers through smart tactics on a number of occasions this year. Hamilton's ability to make his tyres last longer than most has given the team more strategy options, and that could be crucial in Brazil.
All the frontrunners will start on the soft tyre, which has been overheating and giving drivers problems throughout the preliminaries.
Charles Leclerc must fight his way up from 14th on the grid after an engine-change penalty. That could force him into a strategy that will give him an excellent chance of taking the fastest lap for the race race in a row, but the Ferrari driver is just 5-2 to do so.
